Looks like the .gov no longer needs anything as nasty as “proof” to monitor random e-mails.  From what I can tell they just promised not to peak at the contents of the e-mail itself, just the headers, and were allowed to under teh Patriot Act.

Good thing they’re so Patriotic.  Otherwise I’d suspect they already snagged the data in question and went for approval after the fact…  at any rate, your liberties still under fire.  Just as much from our own “valiant protectors” as any external threat.

I mean. C’mon. If they’ve got something on someone they should be able to do things the old fashioned way.  Prove that someone’s up to no good and grabbing a warrant to snag all their data.  Is that concept so hard for the Justice folks to understand these days?
