And here I thought China had a population problem. Apparently the new wealthy Chinese upper class want children, lots of them, and now! I’m not sure they really get how tenuous a free-market economies boom cycles are. Then again, there are a whole lot of really poor Chinese to cushion their fall, so maybe it doesn’t matter as much (well.. not to the rich folks).
Anyway, after a prolonged (and gender imbalancing) period of controlling births to stop the population from ballooning up any more than it has to there seems to be a bit of a break. Could be a bad thing for the economy over there.
