NewsForge is highlighting a type of “meta search engine” with a simple text interface. While that in and of itself isn’t revolutionary, YubNub has got a simple syntax to use and can include some if/then arguments.
So if single portal search engines have gotten a bit too simple for you, give YubNub a try. I don’t see it catching on in a huge way, due to it’s added complexity over portal sites (ala google or Yahoo), but it might make a neat diversion.
