Since getting back from Katsucon (TTilley brought me there for my birthday and I got to visit an old friend down in DC. Go to the Brick Skeller. Excellent selection, 100s of beers) and listening to Synthpop Club Anthems 4 released on the A Different Drum label I can say that it definately makes good background noise.

The same infectious beats are present throughout the album as on previous installments. I won’t use words like light driving beats or syrupy lyrics but they’d probably fit if I was the sort of person to use them. Good stuff.

I also got a chance to speak with their rep at the booth, and she stated that they didn’t have any nasty DRM schemes included on the CD. So it won’t kill your dog and run off with the spouse when you’re not looking. Expect it to work with any of your CD playing devices too, even the old ones! (although I didn’t check for an Orange/Red Book CD logo)

Also, she requests that people buy the albums rather than copy them. As they only cost 8~10 dollars and have discounts for sets, that seems reasonable enough. Reasonable enough that I feel they need a plug!
