Most places would tell you you need to have a hub or at the least a crossover network cable if you’re going to be networking a couple PCs together.

Not so, Dell.

Apparently, when a person over in the UK called to purchase a couple of PCs and inquired about networking together the Dell rep posited that they could use a PowerEdge server to share files and printing functions between the two PCs.

While that’s technically true, it does take a bit of a leap to see how that’s a reasonable reccomendation.  Especially to someone that’s purchasing two machines.  Digital Spy has the original forum thread in all its glory.
