Back in the halcyon days of Microsoft Paul Allen used to run the show. According to Cringely his departure and subsequent divestiture of most of his Microsoft assets might be due to an overheard discussion of how best to divvy up his remains (that thankfully turned out to be a bit premature).
All this gets down eventually to the one remaining state that’s decided “get Microsoft free” voutures aren’t exactly a good Monopoly remedy. To think that all this time all we had to do was hand more market share to a Monopoly to get rid of it…
