So there are some people that are genuinely homeless and do society a service. Witness the guy outside Dan’s (Puritan City) T stop (fancy word for the Metro in Boston).

So he stands there all morning greeting people going on to the T. And sure, people give him coffee, donuts, what have you. I say he should be offered a permanent position as a greeter for the metro authority provided he show up in a (provided, obviously) suit, or possibly other smart outfit in the summer.

It’d probably go a long way toward cheering commuters heading around the city on their morning commute.

Just a thought.
