Atari isn’t just stopping updates to NWN. That would be understandable even with the modest sales it still offers with NWN2 around the corner.
The low blow proffered in the title, though, is their cancelling of all premium content modules. Premium content modules which cost little to produce and must be reaping a fairly good return.
Really, this strikes at the biggest content providers for their platforms, the fans. Will users docily go along and start producing free content for Atari’s “Next Big Thing ™” NWN2? Or will Atari’s latest be far less of a success after they’ve declared users needs insignifigant and blown off Mac/Linux ports?
Unfortunately they probably won’t care either way, as they don’t appear to communicate with anyone as triffling as the people purchasing their product.
