Someone told me that the face of new media was here. Gone are the old, trite, boring days of finite production and mass consumption, the push model.
Ushering in this new era of small run media are the darlings of personal distribution, Google Media and YouTube. Of course, if Google’s new “hits” list is anything like the reality of production I think I’ll stick with my dull old commercial TV.
Even if my “commercial” favorites are from Japan, China, and a small production studio out of CA. Most of this stuff is shot on a less than 30fps webcam.
I mean, this stuff is horrible. Give or take a football reel or two. Sports are sports, and those probably aren’t fan recorded clips anyway.
