Bright bulb T.J. Rodgers of Cypress Semiconductor is quoted as saying he thinks people that payed for allll those wires and cables that make up the internet should be able to charge whatever they want for their product.

Personally, I think I’ve payed quite enough for those wires and cables.  Both directly and by funding the people that now want to screw me with my tax dollars.

I have yet to receive what Connecticut already payed out for.  Some mention of ethernet speeds, 100Mb/s, to the home, iirc.

Does this mean that I get to determine how much is charged for data lines?  Somehow I don’t think this is what he meant.

Regulating monopolies.  It’s un-American!

Quote of the day: Net neutrality is ‘un-American’ | News.blog | CNET News.com
In an interview with CNET News.com, Cypress Semiconductor CEO T.J. Rodgers is blunt in his opposition to net neutrality.

“I think people that have paid for the wires and cables should able to charge whatever they want for their product. And or other people to come in and force companies to run their businesses and set their prices is absurd,”
